About the event

Death Over Brunch: Jewish Edition is a reflective gathering where we explore life, death, and what matters most. During Sukkot, a traditional time of gathering and visiting, we will provide a special brunch while engaging in facilitated conversations and reflection. This is a welcoming space to connect, share, and grow, affirm what is most important, and feel supported in community.
Modeled after Death Over Dinner: Jewish Edition, managed by the Shomer Collective, and created by rabbis, theologians, wellness, and palliative care experts, this event offers a chance to engage deeply with Jewish thought and traditions around end-of-life, death, and mourning.
Brunch Hosted by: Valley Chevra Kadisha (VCK), a community Chevra in Los Angeles.
The Valley Chevrah Kadisha is a non-profit, inclusive community Chevra serving all Jews in the greater Los Angeles area free of charge. We also educate and create spaces for conversation and sharing around end-of-life and mourning.
This community event is generously supported by Mt. Sinai Memorial Parks.
